This small brooch is a typical example of a penannular brooch that were common throughout Europe. This style of brooch can be found throughout the Roman empire but the style remained popular in Europe in the medieval period as well.

Reliquaria's version includes two curled ends and a twist along the loop. It is available in both brass and cooper finishes.
